I was so proud to be part of this project for de Volksbank's Human Rights report. It was a joint collaboration with Tekstschrijvers.nl and Sustainalize.
This project was a sustainability insert in the ASR Core Residential Fund Report. I interviewed company specialists and wrote up the piece for their annual report.
The ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund annual report wanted to get up close and personal with their clients out in the field. I went onsite to interview a variety of retail experts and owners, which resulted in a series of articles on topics such as city retail, the supermarket landscape, and shopping centres.

When the global logistics player GEODIS revamped their global website, they came to me for help. This was a large and fun project, as I wrote about virtually all of their products and services across transport, logistics and supply chain management.
The GGD asked me to help them write the Plain English version of their 'Coronatest' website . This was a joint project with BureauTaal, a Dutch company I work with that specializes in Plain Language. They do the Dutch stuff; I do the English stuff. It was a great opportunity to put all of Plain English's 21 rules to work!

I do a lot of corporate video work. Many of these videos are confidential, in-house productions. However, I do have a few that I can show. I worked on this Philips video with a production company called The Mute Zone (TMZ). Our challenge was to turn technical material into something that was easy to understand for everyone. I think we did a pretty good job here!

I love working in the area of technology. Why? Because there are so many different types of products, services and companies out there. It's fascinating. And when it comes to their brochures, all these companies have one thing in common. They need to translate the technical features of whatever it is they do into real benefits for the end reader.
I spent five years writing at A.T. Kearney, a top-tier strategy consulting company. While I was there, I wrote across a wide variety of services and industries, including branding and brochure material for the company itself. To this day, I still deliver business writing workshops to their consultants across Europe and the Middle East.

The Hoogeschool van Amsterdam is a university of applied sciences here in the Netherlands. Here's an example of a book from their aviation engineering department, where I helped them turn applied research into a reader-friendly book.
A good copywriter should be able to take complicated and sophisticated material and transform it into readable, interesting text. Here's an example of turning numbers-based science into reader-friendly material for the Rotterdam School of Management's 'RSM Discovery' magazine. My scientific background came in handy here. Of course, the original researcher got the writing credit...after all, it was a ghostwriting project!
